Violence and Abuse Screening Assessment

The Violence and Abuse Screening Assessment identifies individuals at risk of violence or abuse, including intimate partner violence, domestic abuse, or workplace aggression. Administered by trained professionals, it uses 10 questions inspired by the HITS tool and CDC/WHO guidelines, scored on a frequency scale (0–40). Scores of 10+ prompt further evaluation and support, such as safety planning or referrals to resources like the National Domestic Violence Hotline. Conducted in a private, trauma-informed setting, it ensures confidentiality and cultural sensitivity, serving as a critical tool for workplaces, healthcare, or community settings to promote safety and intervention.
